Ease of Use
The DES-1026G is a true Plug-and-Play device with features such as Auto Speed Sensing, allowing it to automatically sense whether a network device is running at 10Mbps or 100Mbps then automatically adjusting itself for optimal performance, Auto Negotiation (Full or Half Duplex) negotiating and running the highest supported transmission rate whether in Half or in Full-Duplex, and Auto MDI/MDIX Crossover offering auto-negotiating MDI/MDIX detection on every port to eliminate the need for crossover cables or uplink ports.

The DES-1026G features a non-blocking wire-speed architecture with an 8.8Gbps switching capacity for maximum data throughput. With wire-speed filtering and Store-and-Forward switching, the DES-1026G also maximizes network performance while minimizing the propagation of bad network packets.

Quality of Service
The DES-1026G supports 802.1p Quality of Service (QoS). QoS assists in the prompt delivery of time sensitive data such as voice, video, and gaming traffic. When frames enter the switch with 802.1p priority tags, they are automatically placed in one of four built-in hardware queues. Frames with higher priority tags are then passed through the switch more efficiently, helping eliminate jitter and lag in VoIP and multimedia traffic.
